day 1 of japanese

so I spent most of today reading about the learning process of Japanese language. it’s been made very clear to me from numerous sources that I should start with the two phonetic alphabets. I looked into and installed a complicated program that’s run using the command prompt on my computer. from screen shots/descriptions on the website it seemed the program’s features would be very useful to me. unfortunately I found out it’s fairly outdated and terribly shotty at that. but I did find the torrent for a text book that a friend of mine who’s learning Japanese in college suggested to me.

I’m really excited to really start my learning once this torrent is done, I’ll probably get on that tomorrow. shannon also told me she’d give me her text books for kanji among other language subjects when she’s done with them. hell yea.
